He Is Risen! is an Easter musical drama composed by Lloyd Larson, lasting approximately seven minutes, and is intended for performance during a traditional Easter service. The piece opens with a serene instrumental prologue and narration that evoke the essence of Easter morning. Following a poignant reflection on the crucifixion, the uplifting chorus "He Is Risen!" brings forth a sense of joy. The work culminates with the majestic hymn "The Day of Resurrection," skillfully set to Samuel Wesley's melody "Aurelia."
