The book is designed to be used alongside a cassette that features a diverse range of music and exercises, providing GCSE students with essential listening practice. This resource enables students to better understand the emotional and technical elements of music. It is organized into four levels, with exercises that are progressively graded to accommodate varying skill levels. Each level includes sections on beats and bars, shapes and sizes, chords and cadences, groups and families, and light and shade. At the end of each level, two listening tests are included to help students prepare for actual assessments while reinforcing the material covered.
